Platinum Plus does not cover brake drums and rotors (unless Platinum Plus Rotors Coverage is selected). The Term Care Select Plans do not cover solar powered devices, glass, lenses, body parts and/or panels, trim, moldings, tires, wheels, upholstery, paint, bright metal, audio/security or other systems not factory installed, wheel balancing, cellular phones, radar detectors, appliances, vinyl and convertible tops.

This Term Care Select Plan does not cover mechanical breakdowns caused by misuse, abuse, negligence (including the negligence of any repair facility), improper towing, lack of maintenance of a failed covered part, contamination, overheating, lack of coolant or lubricants, lack of oil viscosity, sludge, restricted oil flow, salt, rust and rust damage, environmental damage, or chemicals; burnt valves, worn or carbon fouled piston rings, the correction of oil consumption, or any repairs for reduction in engine efficiency that must be performed on the vehicle. Any maintenance on your vehicle is also not covered.

Replacement parts utilized in connection with a mechanical breakdown will be, at the discretion of FWS, new or remanufactured OEM parts or used parts that meet the quality standards of the repair facility or FWS.

The product being offered is a Term Care Select Plan and is separate and distinct from any product or service warranty which may be provided by the manufacturer, importer, or seller.

2. Coverage level availability may be limited based on the age, mileage, make, and model of your vehicle.

3. Roadside Assistance is not available on Term Care Select Plan sold at dealerships located in California. These plans will receive towing coverage where you will be reimbursed up to $100 per mechanical breakdown for towing expenses incurred from a towing company, if required due to a mechanical breakdown.

4. When repairs are required, return your vehicle to the selling dealer, if possible. If you cannot return your vehicle to the selling dealer, you must call 1-800-327-5172 during normal working hours. Prior authorization is required prior to having the vehicle repaired.

5. Service contract transferable to another owner, but not to another vehicle. Additionally, the service contract may not be transferred to any entity in the business of selling or leasing motor vehicles.

7. To make a claim under this service contract you must provide teardown authorization when requested. We are not obligated to reimburse you for teardown costs if the repairs are not covered under the service contract.
